About the event

This practica is for Milongueros & compleate begginers, for those who wish to practice Tango in an inclusive, and friendly environment, we encourage changing roles, respectful dancefloor ettiquitte, and a warm family friendly vibe in a breath taking back drop of nature:

What to expect:

- Live music from:

 Drew Walker singing, some Tangos and celtic and latin fusion music.

and then at the end an open mic to whoever feels inclined to share, in an ode to the origin of Tango in the conventillos where people shared what ever music skill they had.

- Olla Popular/Dinner

Bring a veg to take part in a wonderful Argentine tradition called an Olla popular, which translates to the pot of the people, it is a communal stew where everyone brings a veg, any veg to contribute to the pot, it is cooked in a wine and tomate based sauce for a few hours and eaten together, the concept is by everyone taking part, there is an abundance of food for all.

Tango Medicine

- A friendly environment conscientiosly created to be inclusive and welcoming to all. As milongas were meant to be, safe places that welcomes all.

We start with a little warm up, a small guided class to theame the practica, and then free to practice the rest of the evening.

Where is it?

Coed Hills Rural Art Space is a stunning Venue surrounded by rolling hills, forests, wild swimming, food forest and more. The have a beautiful main hall with a circular wooden floor perfect for dancing.

How do I get there?

Driving is the easiest way to get there, however there are taxis that can take you from the Bridgend Station, or Cardiff Central. 

Parking?

There is pleanty of parking in the entrance, please do not parking further into the site by the buildings as that needs to be kept clear.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely!

Can I come if I don't know any Tango?

Yes, we believe the best way to learn is by dancing with experienced dancers, and both hosts love to help begginers get going!

Dietary needs?

The stew will be vegan, gluten and yeast free, however we can't cater for any more specific needs as the pot is of the people and we all share in the cooking and eating.

Can I bring my children/doggie family?

100% yes, in argentina kids are always welcome, and we encorage the same philosophy. It is until late so either we can make a little temporary bed for kids to rest, or you can leave a little earlier if you prefer.

Can I stay the night?
